Driven by expanding trade and the gold rush in nearby Bau, Hakka Chinese traders fleeing Dutch mistreatment in West Kalimantan settled in Siniawan, shaping the town’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
When visiting Kuching City, this is a must-do activity on weekends.
In the evening, yourlocal driver will pick you up from the city.
Travel about 30 minutes (21 km) to the cowboy town of Siniawan.
Along the way, you will pass residential houses, shophouses, supermarkets, vehicle workshops, and schools.
Siniawan is a weekend evening street food market.
Food stalls line both sides of the street with tables and chairs for dining.
When the weather is fine, dining is outdoors; during rain, stalls operate inside the shops.
The street is beautifully decorated with red lanterns, reflecting the town’s Hakka Chinese heritage.
The market operates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings only.
Food choices include Chinese cuisine, Muslim food, Dayak dishes (such as Kolo Mee), fried rice, cakes, fruits, and souvenirs.
There is also abar serving beer and wine.
After dinner, depart from Siniawan andreturn to Kuching City via the same route.

BIDAYUH LONGHOUSE||||The Bidayuh (or Dayak) refers to a collective group of indigenous peoples found in southern Sarawak, Borneo. While they share common languages and cultural traditions, each community has its unique heritage. The name "Bidayuh" translates to "inhabitants of the land" and the people originally hail from the western part of Borneo, where their rich history and vibrant culture have flourished for centuries.

COME, COME (Mari)||||To showcase the tribes of Sabah are the Mari-Mari Cultural Village. The village enthic tribes are Kadazan-Dusun, Rungus, Lundayeh, Bajau and Murat.

Departure from City with a ride of 30minutes to arrive at the Mari-Mari Cultural Village. Upon arrival at the Village, you will be guided to visit all the 5 tribes houses. 0800a.m - Depart from Miri and overland into Brunei. The distant is 158km from Miri and a ride to reach the Sungai Tujoh boarder may take 2hours depend on tariff flow. Wait for immigration check and once complete continue to ride from Brunei check-point boarder into Bandar Seri Begawan. In Brunei, a sightseeing of Brunei City and visit to the famous "WATER VILLAGE" By 1600, leaving Bandari Seri Begawan using the same route to reach the Sungai Tujoh Boarder. After complete checking by the immigration, continue to drive out from Brunei into Miri. Reaching the City may be after 2000, depend on the tariff flow are Sungai Tujoh check-point.
DESTINATION DREAMSCAPE||||The Bario Highlands situated nearby to the boarder of Kalimantan -Indonesia. It is also known as the "Land of a Hundred handshakes" to the hospitality of the local people. Due to geographical barrier, it is isolated from the rest of the World until a small airport was build. The famous item are the Bario Rice and Spring Salt.
DAY 1.
Arriving into Bario airport only by Twin Otter flight.
A greeting by your local tour guide at the airport. Embark on a 4x4 vehicle and ride 30minutes to a village called Pa Umor. Passing by the padi fields, resident houses, shop and government office. Upon arrival at the homestay of Kelabit tribe, check in to the guestroom (no bathroom / toilet attach) and it a sharing toilet / bathroom outside the house (No lunch are provided depend on your flight arrival). By late afternoon, your tour guide will bring you for a walk passing village houses and through the jungle into the Open Field. Inside the jungle along the way, you will be able to see some Pitcher Plants. Lay a Legend Rock know as Batu Narit Arur Bilit. You may be able to see Buffalo around and Pinapple farm. After complete the tour, walk back using the same route to the homestay. Relax and clean up. A dinner are serve in the homestay after 1900. No night activites.
DAY 2.
Breakfast & Dinner serve in homestay.
Today you are going for a Mountain trekking. This mountain is known as Prayer Mountain.
After breakfast, embark on the vehicle and ride for 20 minute to a village called Arur Dalan. On arrival at the village, walk and pass by Village houses. Half way, you will find a Visitor Book at the Village House. All tourist are requested to write down your name on the visitor book. Beside is a donation box and all tourist need to contribut any amount before the start trek. The donation money are use for the maintaining of the mountain trails and its surround area. The trekking start from the foot hill (320metre) to reach the Mountain summit. The trek may takes about 2hour or more (depending on your stamina & speed). A walking stick are compulsory. During the half way climb, you will find an Old Wooden Church. Take a rest. Later continue your trek till you reach the Mountain Top Summit. A beautiful view from the top of the mountain show case of Bario Village. Here stand a CROSS. Do wear Sun hat as there is no Hut / Shade at the Top Summit. The Sun are right above your head. Soon trek back to the Wooden Church again. Relax and have your pack lunch. In the late afternoon, trek back the same route down to the mountain foothill. Embark on the same vehicle and stop to have a look at the School compound. Later continue on the vehicle to reach your homestay. Relax and watch the Sunset. A dinner is serve after 1900.
DAY 3.
Breakfast & Dinner are serve in homestay.
After breakfast, embark on the 4x4 vehicle to visi the Site of a Salt Spring Hall. The ride takes about 40minutes to reach the jungle. Passing by the suspension bridge and the village houses. Upon arrival at the roadside, walk into the jungle for 20minutes to reach the Hut. This is where the Bario Spring Salt are process. It is not an ordinary Salt. This is pure and authentic Bario Salt. It's a bonus for you if happen the folk are processing the Salt. Do give a support to the local community of purchasing the Bario Salt. You can give to your family members / friends as a sourvenir. A pack lunch are provided and you can eat / relax at the Hut here. By the late afternoon, walk out from Hut using the same jungle route to the road side. Embark on the vehicle and heading back to your homestay. Relax and look out for the Sunset. Dinner are serve after 1900.

FAR FAR AWAY||||It's the first in Sarawak to consist primarily of marine area and purpose of marine turtle conservation. The aim of this special programme is to showcase to the people of turtle conservation. An awareness to the World about the important of marine wildlife.
Departure: 10.00a.m
Day 1
Begin an exciting trip for this special project. An overland almost 2hrs by vehicle ride from Kuching City to Telok Melano. A simple pack lunch are provided. Upon arrival at the fishing village in the afternoon, embark on a local speed boat with a ride of 30minutes towards the South China Sea. Sometime you may spot Dolphine / Turtle swimming in the sea. Arriving at the beaches and hope out from the boat. You are welcome by the park ranger at the Talang-Talang Besar Island. Check into the basic resthouse with bedsheet, mattress, blanket, pillow and towel are provided. Later a briefing are conducted by park ranger of what you should you during the stay in this island. You will be able to spot some baby turtle coming out from the nest. Swimming will be not allowed after 1700hrs because it's time of the sea turtles coming up to shore. After sunset, bring the pales contant the baby turtle inside and go to the sea to release. All meals are cooked by your tour guide during your stay in this island. Generator used during the night are from 1830hrs onward. After dinner, stay back at the resthouse to wait for the sign from the ranger. There is no mention of times when the turtles will come up to the shore to start laying her eggs.
Day 2
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner at the island
Before sunrise, go to hatchery house to check if there are baby turtles coming out from nest. After complete the work, breakfast are ready. Later put on your trek shoes and bring your backpack together with your pack lunch provided. Embark on a local boat for 20 minutes ride to visit Tanjung Datu National Park. Upon arrival at the park, your tour guide will brief you. Start your jungle walk with your tour guide to search for some wildlife. Remember there is no guarantee of spotting any wildlife, they all hidden inside the jungle. Enjoy your pack lunch at the park. You can have your leisure swim at the beach. By late noon, embark on the same Longhouse and heading back to Talang-Talang Island. After dinner, relax and wait for the sign from the ranger again. Activities are the same like Day 1 night.
Day 3
Breakfast at the resthouse.
Before sunrise, again do the same work by checking the hatchery nest to see if any baby turtle coming out from the sand. Once work complete, go for your breakfast at the kitchen. You may have your last swimm before checking out from the Island. By 1100a.m, check-out from the island and embark on the same back to Telok Melano. Once arriving at the fishing village, embark on the vehicle and ride the same route to Kuching. A stop over for lunch at local cafe. By noon, continue the ride till reach Kuching City after 1500.
Remark: It's closed during moonsoon from November till March.

Tanjung Datu National Park Tour
Day 1:
Departure: Check out from your hotel for an exciting tour.
Enjoy a2-hour drive from Kuching, passing through schools, farms, and residential areas in the South-Western tip of Sarawak, towards Telok Melano village.
Upon arrival inTelok Melano, take a 20-minute local longboat ride to Tanjung Datu National Park. You may spot dolphins or sea turtles along the way.
Upon arrival at the park, check into a forest hut and enjoy a packed lunch.
Afternoon: Put on your trekking shoes and head into the forest with your park guide.
You may spot Rhinoceros Hornbills, Bulwer’s Pheasant, Long-tailed Macaques, Leaf Monkeys, and other wildlife.
Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed but are a bonus if encountered.
Head back to the forest hut after the walk. No swimming is allowed after 18:00 PM due to turtle nesting activity.
Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by your guide.
Night Wildlife Search: After dinner, your guide will take you for ashort night walk to search for night wildlife, or you can relax at the Lodge.
Stay alert as the turtle nesting may occur at any time, and the park ranger will signal when it happens.
Day 2:
Start the day with the sounds of birds and sea waves.

Optional Swim: After breakfast, enjoy a short swim/snorkel before departure.
By 11:00 AM, check out from the forest hut and return via the same local longboat to Telok Melano.
Stop at a local food court for lunch along the way.

LONGEST RIVER||||Kinabatangan District is located in Sandakan, East of Sabah. The name Kinabatangan was originally called Cina Batangan which mean Chinese River. It is the second longest river in Malaysia.
DAY 1.
Upon arrival at Sandakan airport / City hotel, your local tour guide are fetching you from this venue. Embark on the vehicle and ride for 1hr to reach Sepilok Orangutan Centre. Upon arriving at the centre, walk over to the video show room. Here you will watch the Documentary about the Conservation that done at the Centre. Continue walking to the area where the feeding of the Orangutan. The feeding time start at 1000a.m daily. Later continue to visit the Sun Bear Conservation Centre. After complete this two visit, process to the vehicle and head on to a local cafe for the lunch. In the afternoon after lunch, embark on a vehicle and ride to the jetty. Embark on the speedboat for 2 1/2hours boat ride to the Lodge. Another option are travel overland till reaching the riverbank of Kinabatangan. Embark on the longboat to across the river to the Lodge. Upon arrival at the Lodge, check in to the Lodge for 2nights stay. Time of relaxing. By 1700, depart for an everning cruise safari to search for wildlifes. After Sunset, cruise back to the Lodge. THE EMERALD LAKE OF FORBIDDEN RED||||Loagan Bunut is after the name of the local Berawan tribes. The lake nearby is connected to River Bunut, River Baram, and River Tinjar. Mainly, this area is covered by peat swamp. There is a taboo about WHY NO RED.
In the morning, depart from the city for an overland drive of about 1 hour 20 minutes to Loagan Bunut National Park.
The lake, fed by local rivers, shrinks during the dry season (May–October), revealing vast mudflats. Visitors can walk across the dried lake bed and enjoy views of the peat swamp forest.
Several trails allow exploration of the swamp, with opportunities to spot wildlife foraging nearby.

THE MOUNTAIN||||A World renowned UNESCO World Heritage - Kinabalu National Park. The most prominent peaks in South-East-Asia.
A morning departure of pick up at 0830a.m. Embark on the vehicle and ride for 2hrs to reach the National Park. Enjoy the mountain view along the way travelling. Half way, you will stop at the Nabalu Market and view of the Valleys and Mountain. Continue to ride till reaching the foothill of Kinabalu National Park entrance. Hope out from the vehicle and a guided walk into the Park. Explore the Botanical Garden, flora and fauna at the Conservation Centre. A lunch are serve at the park restaurant. By noon, embark on the vehicle and continue to ride for 40KM to reach the Poring Hot Spring. The interesting part is the Canopy Walkway (175 meter long /40 meter high above ground). Enjoy the beautiful scenery from the Canopy. Walk back the same route to your vehicle and ride direct back to City.
Remark: Those have health issue / afraid of heigh, do not climb the Canopy.

THE NORTHERN GATEWAY||||Miri is the 2nd largest City in Sarawak. This state is the tourist stop over for changing of planes to Mulu, Bario, Marudi and others rural area.
This tour can be depart in the morning or afternoon.
A depart from the Miri City / Hotel for Miri sightseeing. A ride to visit the Grand Old Lady which stand the History of the Oil Industry. Continue to visit the Miri City Fan Garden, Chinese Temple, Handicraft Heritage Centre and Petroleum Museum . This tours take about 4hours to complete.
Remark: It's can be combine with Niah National Park.
THE RIVER TRANSPORT||||Talking about prehistoric age, people at that time used wooden logs and bamboo for various purposes. Rafts were used long time ago as transportating goods and many usage.
Departure daily: 0800a.m
Embark on the vehicle and ride up country. It is located in a Bidayuh Village name Peraya which located 50km away from City. Upon arrival a the village to store your belonging like towel, clothing and personal items behind. A short briefing by the rafting guide about the DO & DONT. Later walk over to the riverbank and embark on the Bamboo Raft. Put on the life jacket and start paddle. Passing by the mini rapids and roll down the river. Enjoy the surrounding rainforest. A half way through, stop over for a picnic lunch. After lunch, continue the paddle till you reach the Bidayuh Homestay. Embark from the Bamboo raft and walk up to the homestay. Here is the place for changing of your Wet Cloth to Dry Cloth. After 1500, embark on the vehicle and ride the same route to Kuching City.
REMARK: It's suitable for children of 8years old above.
THE SUN - SEA - SAND||||Dedicated to the Turtle Conversation. The island is make up of Selingan, Gulisan and Bakungan Kechil. It is Green Turtle and Hawksbill Turtles landed on Selingan Island.
Day 1.
The arrival can be from Sandakan airport / City in the morning by 0800a.m.
Embark on the vehicle and ride to the jetty. From here, embark on the local speed boat for 1hr ride to the Selingan Island. Travelling in an open sea. Upon arrival at the Island, register at the counter to get your room key. Relax. You can go for snorkeling, scuba diving or swimming. By 1700, no more swimming / snorkeling at the beaches as the turtle are start coming to shore. Get ready for dinner serve at the island cafe. After dinner, sit at the cafe and wait for the sign from the park ranger. Should there is turtle coming to shore, the park ranger will give a sign to tourist and then you can come to the beach. No guarantee of times of appear.
Day 2.
Breakfast & dinner at the cafe.
Free to walk around the island or visit the bubbling mud volcanoes. Sometime during the day, the baby turtles may come out from the nest hatches. Wait for the instruction from the park rangers of what to be done with the baby turtles. The day is leisure.
Day 3.
Breakfast serve at the cafe.
Time to check-out in the morning. Embark on the speed boat and heading the same direction to the receiving jetty. Arriving at the jetty, embark on the vehicle and heading to the airport / city. End of your vacation.

TREKKING WATERFALLS||||Embark on an exciting adventure from Kuching to Bengoh Dam, where you’ll enjoy a longboat ride and trek through the jungle to explore the stunning Pe’an Waterfall and Susung Waterfall. Trek to the Mountain Top Village of Kampung Sting, relax and watch the sunset, before returning to Kuching. A thrilling, fitness-focused adventure amidst nature’s beauty.
Bengoh Dam & Mountain Trekking Adventure
Morning Depart:
Departure from Kuching City for a 1-hour drive to Bengoh Dam.
Arrive at the Dam jetty and embark on a 20-minute local longboat ride (life jackets provided) to the mountain foothill entrance.
Start the jungle trek, which takes approximately 45 minutes or more (depending on your pace and stamina).
Cross a few man-made bamboo hanging bridges as you make your way to Pe'an Waterfall.
Enjoy a refreshing swim at the waterfall and pack lunch provided.
Continue the trek for another 30 minutes to Susung Waterfall. Be prepared for slippery rocks and powerful water pressure.
Relax and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings.
Trek back the same route to Pe'an Waterfall and unwind at theforest hut.
Trek down to the mountain foothill and take the 5-minute longboat ride across to the opposite foothill.
Start another 1/2-hour trek to Kampung Sting (Mountain Top Village), depending on your stamina.
Relax and enjoy the sunset (subject to weather conditions).
After dusk, trek down the mountain using the same route and take the longboat back to the jetty.
Board the coach and head back to Kuching City.
Remarks:
Fitness is required due to the uphill terrain.
Not recommended for children under 10 years old.

A small road to reach the Park. Upon arrival, check in to the Lodge for overnight. The forest is surrounding by fruits trees, some wildlife and a swimming pool. If during fruits season, you will enjoy the fruits here. Relax. If your check in are fall on Weekend like Friday onward, do hire the Lodge vehicle to bring you over to the Siniawan Street Foods Market. The ride is just 6minute but to walk on foot is a distant.

UP - DOWN - UP||||Padas river is located the most interior part of South-Western part of Kota Kinabalu. It flows through the amazing Padas Gorge and the padding covers a distant of 23km with 7 exhilarating rapdis graded between 3 - 5.
Your departure from hotel is at 0530a.m.
Embark on the vehicle and proceed to Beaufort Railway Station to take the train. The ride will take approximately 1 - 2hours to reach the Pangi Station. Upon arriving at the Pangi station, a light refreshment are serve. You need to sign the Liability Release Form and briefing will be conducted by the river tour guide before the rafting commence. Here start your rafting which will take about 1 - 2 hours or more includes 8 points of rapids. Your rafting will be ended at Rayoh side in the late afternoon. A lunch are provided. After lunch, embark onto the train and ride to Beaufort station. Arriving at Beaufort town after 1600. Embark on the vehicle and ride back to your hotel / City.
REMARK: Recommended for those who know how to swim.

Depart from the City in the afternoon for a sightseeing in Sibu.

0800a.m, depart from City for a ride to Semenggok Nature Reserve Centre.
Embark on the Buggy from the entrance into the Centre.
Watch the feeding at 0900a.m to 10.00a.m daily
After feeding ended, ride the Buggy back to the entrance again.
From here, embark on the vehicle and ride to Santubong.
Upon arrival at the Sarawak Cultural Village, proceed direct to the aircond theatre to watch the "Live" Cultural show.
The show start at 1130a.m to 1215noon daily.

YOUR FRIEND||||The Semenggoh Nature Reserve is the biggest Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Sarawak. Established in 1975 as a sanctuary.
Daily departure: 0800a.m & 1330noon
A drive of 35 minutes away from the city, this tour can be done in the morning or afternoon which is daily. It's open 365 days and it's the only rehabilitation centre of kind in Sarawak.
Embark on the Buggy from the entrance into the centre.
The Park Ranger will brief you about DO and DON'T at the centre. To observe them coming down from the trees canopy for their scheduled feeding time (0900a.m & 1500) sometime with their mother clipping around the arm.
After 1000a.m. or 1600p.m. ended feeding time, every tourist have to left the centre. Embark on the Buggy and ride to the outside entrance.
