A BITE OF HUNGER
Location: Array
Duration: Half Day
Departure: KUCHING
  • When visiting Kuching City, this is a must-do activity on weekends.

  • In the evening, your local driver will pick you up from the city.

  • Travel about 30 minutes (21 km) to the cowboy town of Siniawan.

  • Along the way, you will pass residential houses, shophouses, supermarkets, vehicle workshops, and schools.

  • Siniawan is a weekend evening street food market.

  • Food stalls line both sides of the street with tables and chairs for dining.

  • When the weather is fine, dining is outdoors; during rain, stalls operate inside the shops.

  • The street is beautifully decorated with red lanterns, reflecting the town’s Hakka Chinese heritage.

  • The market operates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings only.

  • Food choices include Chinese cuisine, Muslim food, Dayak dishes (such as Kolo Mee), fried rice, cakes, fruits, and souvenirs.

  • There is also a bar serving beer and wine.

  • After dinner, depart from Siniawan and return to Kuching City via the same route.

  • End the night with a full stomach and a good night’s sleep
