Talang Satang National Park covers an area of 19,414 hectares and was gazette in 1999 to enhance marine turtle conservation in Sarawak. The park encompasses the coastline and waters surrounding 4 island - Pulau Talang Talang Besar, Pulau Talang Talang Kecil (located off Sematan) and Pulau Satang Besar, Pulau Satang Kecil (located off Santubong).

Kuching Wetland National Park is known as Monkey Sanctuary. The former Sarawak Mangrove Forest Reserve which covered area of 66.1km. This island has been assessed and deemed to be a suitable habitat for long-tailed Macaque for their preservation and conservation.
It is the home of endangered species like the proboscis monkey, long tailed macaque, silvered langurs, mudskippers, white belled sea eagles, firefly, horseshoe crabs and crocodile. The Irrawaddy Dolphine can be sighted during season from April till September.

Gunung Gading is home to the world’s largest flower, the rafflesia, which can grow up to one metre in diameter. When in bloom the flower gives off a nasty smell which attracts flies and other insects. The rafflesia has no specific season but the rainy season provides better blooming frequencies.
