Overview

Sandakan is the 2nd Largest City in Sabah. This area was the site of a Prisoner of War Camp.

Itinerary

Sandakan is home to the majestic Kinabatangan River, one of the longest and most wildlife-rich rivers in Sabah. This destination offers a unique combination of nature, wildlife encounters, and historical sites.

For this 3-day tour, you will explore:

• Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre

• Selingan (Turtle) Island

• WWII Sandakan Memorial Park (War Camp)

• The multicultural heritage of Sandakan, including Suluk, Bajau, Chinese, Malay, Kadazandusun, and Sungai communities.

Note: Activities and wildlife sightings are subject to weather and natural conditions.

Travel to Sandakan is possible by flight or overland from Kota Kinabalu.
This trip can also be extended to a 4-day program.
