Itinerary

Day 1 

  • The only airlines that fly into Mulu is Malaysia Airline System (MAS).
  • Upon arrival at Mulu airport, you will be meet by our representative and transfer you to Mulu National Park / Marriott Mulu Resort accommodation.
  • In the afternoon, visit to the Deer Cave (3km) wooden walkway passes through peat swamp, alluvial flats and limestone outcrops before reaching the world's largest cave passage.
  • A torch-light is usedful when entrance the cave. Deer Cave is home to millions of bats.
  • Continue to walk over to Lang Cave suitated near to the entrance of Deer cave.
  • After complete both caves, walk over to the open field and relax.
  • During sunset, a mass exodus occurs as millions of bats emerge from the vast entrance of the cave. A unique and memorable display. Watch the amazing sight of millions of bats coming out of the cave for their habitual feeding. This are depend on weather. 
  • Everyone walk in the dark to return to the Park.  For those staying at the resort, a transport will pick them up.
  • Dinner serve.

Day 2

  • Breakfast serve at park cafe / Resort restaurant.
  • In this morning, check out from the Park / Resort.
  • Embark on a longboat ride and stop over at the Penan Settlement.  It is situated on the river of Melinau River, halfday between Clearwater Cave and the park headquarters.
  • Where the Penan tribes are selling their handicraft /arts works. Do purchase as a support to this community.
  • Continue journey by longboat to Wind Cave.  Embark from the riverbank and a walkway lead to Wind cave and it situated just before Clearwater Cave.
  • Cool breezes can be felt at narrow parts of the cave. Process to visit the Clearwater Cave with it's under ground river. It is Southeast Asia's longest cave passage (over 75km).  Reaching by boat from the park headquarters.
  • If the water level is low, you have to get out of the boat and help to push. From the riverbank, visitors must climb 200 steps before reaching the walkway that leads to the cave.
  • Although the cave is lit, a torch-light is useful for examining the cave's finer features.
  • Later a  picnic lunch are serve at near the riverbank.
  • After lunch, continue the journey by longboat to Long Litut.
  • Embark from the Longboat and climb up the hill slope to trek inside the jungle.
  • A 8km walk through jungle to reach Camp 5.
  • Dinner and overnight at camp 5.

 

Day 3

  • Breakfast & Dinner serve at camp 5.
  • Early morning by 0600a.m, begin the ascent climbing which the trail is 2.5km up.
  • Gunung Api steep slopes make it feel longer. It's takes about 4 hours to reach the pinnacles.
  • The fantastic views make it all worthwhile.
  • During the climb, you will see many species of plants and insects.
  • Pack lunch are provided and relax at the observatory point.
  • By late noon, climb down to the foothill.
  • Reaching Camp 5 by 1600 and overnight at Camp 5

 

Day 4

  • Breakfast are serve.
  • Morning check out from Camp 5.  Start trekking through lowland forest to Terikan riverbank.
  • Bring along the pack lunch.
  • Arrive at the riverbank, embark on the longboat travel down the Terikan river and Medalam river.
  • Reaching Iban Longhouse after 1600.  
  • Dinner and overnight in the longhouse.

 

Day 5

  • Breakfast is serve at longhouse.
  • After breakfast, check out from the Longhouse and embark on the longboat.
  • Ride down the river to Nanga Medamit by afternoon.
  • From here, embark on the vehicle and overland to Limbang Airport or hotel.

Remark:  This tour can be conduct without the overnight in the Longhouse.
